Ely Cathedral on a glorious (English) summer day!

Yesterday I visited Ely Cathedral (1083-1375) which is located in Cambridgeshire and it is famous for its "octagon" shaped crossing tower. I also attended Choral Evensong in this marvellous house of God. Its stlye ranges from Norman to decorated and later perpendicular Gothic.

  1. Ely is my favorite English cathedral -- quite a gem. Thank you for the lovely pictures.
